BRING OUT THE DEVILS

It was hilarious last night at Quarter Finals.
The Cadets were ready to go with their show, when corps director George Hopkins decided to take the corps off the field to have a couple of hash marks and/or yardlines painted again. (The paint had faded.)
The crowd gave the corps a loud boo. And then remarks came from all over the stands.
“Bring out the Devils”was one of them!
When Cadets came on the field again more booing from some fans. They did a fantastic performance. The voice-over during their show is definitely not appreciated by everyone. Comments all over the place. When a color guard member tells about high school, color guard and him not fitting in, someone shouted “Go tell it to Oprah!”
A loud cheer from the crowd when a member is heard over the speakers saying “Now let’s do this part without voice.”
Cadets got penalized by two point for leaving the field, which originally put them in fourth place. Hopkins was seen discussing with DCI personnel about this. Another boo from the crowd…
Back at the school we heard that the points were given back to them. There must have been a serious discussion between Cadets and the DCI officials after the show.
Why give penalties back ? Might as well do away with penalties completely…
Even with the scores being corrected Blue Devils have a 0,7 point lead. That’s good for entering Semi Finals!
