NEW APRON

One of the assistant cooks (Diane Ebert), who helped out on tour for a few days earlier this season, brought me a customized apron. She does embroidery, so that comes in handy. And guess what… it’s ORANGE!!! Way cool! It’s got my “HK” initials on it too.
All the cooks on Devils Food (the name of the food truck) now have a personalized apron. They’re all blue or black though. Diane must have been picked up my conversation about orange being our national colour (and corps colour).
We definitely need aprons when preparing all this food. Not that it’s messy, but wi all the sauces and stuff, you’re guaranteed to have stains all over your clothes.
You should see me using the mixer on the cake mix…. Haha.. just like home. A worktop full of stuff.
