HUTCHINSON – KANSAS

The corps had rehearsal all day at the stadium where the contest is going to be held tomorrow. In the evening I surprisingly ran into Steve Vickers, the publisher of “Drum Corps World”, the magazine I have been writing for since 1984/1985. Apparently it shouldn't have been so much of a surprise, since Hutchinson used to bee Steve's hometown. Steve is a great guy. He runs the magazine pretty much all by himself. I enjoy providing material for his publication! Especially nowadays with the impact of the internet and the speed at which news can be spread, it's tough running a magazine about a relatively small activity.
